Our Favorite Christmas Memories from Team Jesicca Skoloda

This year for a little nostlagia the Realtors of our team shared their favorite Christmas memories. As we discovered while compiling these, our memories take us back to an earlier, simpler time when the magic of christmas was in full swing and we got to enjoy being with the people we love.
Maybe that’s the best way to think about this time of year. It isn’t about what we have or don't have. Christmas is about the warm and fuzzy feelings we immediately recall when we reflect on the day. Those are the feelings we'll always carry with us.
We hope you enjoy our favorite Christmas memories below!
From all of us here on Team Jesicca Skoloda at Classic Properties: Merry Christmas, happy holidays, and a happy new year!
My favorite Christmas memory comes from when I was about 7 years old. I heard a ringing from my bedroom on Christmas Day. I discovered a corded phone under my bed, and when I picked it up, it was Santa on the other line. It was magical! What a big-girl gift! And the call from Santa 🎅🏼 made it a moment I would never forget!!
Later, I learned it was the biggest pain for my dad. The apartment we lived in was made out of brick, so it wasn’t an easy feat drilling that phone line to make it happen out in the bitter cold!
My favorite Christmas memory is all of the kids piling in the car and going to my grandmother’s for Christmas Eve. On our way there, my father took the scenic route so we could enjoy all the Christmas lights. The whole family was there. Even though my grandmother didn’t have a lot of money, she made sure all 22 grandchildren got a coloring book and crayons.
Still to this day, when I smell a box of Crayola crayons, it takes me back to my childhood. How I wish I could go back and freeze time!
Loved Christmas! Was always great even though we didn’t have much. We would wake up early, of course, to see all the gifts, but we couldn’t open them until we ate a giant cookie! 🤣 It was torture!
I remember the anticipation of waiting for Santa every year, and the one year, I really wanted a pair of Heelys, and I got them! I was so excited, so I tried them on right away and was skating around the house and then fell flat on my behind!
My favorite memory is putting reindeer food out and seeing it sparkle!
1. Cookie baking day! Especially decorating the sugar cookies together.
2. My dad used to also put us kids in the car and just drive around looking for the house with the best lights.
My favorite memory of Christmas is the anticipation of Santa coming and seeing family that I didn’t get to see all the time. I can remember helping my mom bake cookies that I left for Santa.
My parents honestly always made Christmas so magical for us growing up. I’d say my favorite is that me and my siblings always celebrated “Eve Eve” the 23rd, where we would dress up in PJs, do secret Santa gifts, and play games.
